If you are using the ‘OK Google’ feature of Google then you certainly have something to worry about.

It is alleged that Google records audio from your Phone microphones all the time. The “hot word” searching – when you initiate a search by saying “Ok Google” – Google doesn’t start recording when you say “Ok Google”; it was recording even before you said the ‘OK Google’.

In short, just talking or any voices in the vicinity of the phone gets recorded automatically even without saying ‘OK Google’. Google records your voice with or without you knowing it. Google is quietly recording conversations that people have around its products.

This new portal was introduced in June 2015 which means that it has since then recorded the different things you have said and thought were private.

Though Android devices are more susceptible than iOS, if you’re still using Google for your web searches, the company is listening to you. The voice recordings can function as a kind of diary, reminding you of the various places and situations that you and your phone have been in. But it’s also a reminder of just how much information is collected about you, and how intimate that information can be.

Of course, Google claims that this information is never personally used against you and is done solely for the purpose of enhancing your experience on the web. However, imagine the ominous implications if this information was being used against you.
