If you did not actually see the physical structure of the glass bridge then you would be right to think that people were walking on air.

China has built the world’s longest and highest, vertigo inducing glass bridge that is 430-mts long, six mts wide bridge, paved with 99 panes of three-layer transparent glasses that hangs between two steep cliffs 300 metres above the ground, Xinhua news agency reported. Earlier this year a truck weighing 2 tons was driven across in a show of the bridge’s sturdiness.

The glass panes laid are triple-layered glass that is 24mm (0.94in), and is said to be 25 times stronger than regular window glass. This Glass Bridge used to earlier be a narrow wooden bridge that was equally terrifying.

The dangerous wooden bridge was replaced by this glass one that is way safer in design and strength but has terrified and mortified visitors as they make their maiden walk across the canyon. They reportedly said that they felt like they were walking on air and felt extremely scared.

Visitors were seen treading carefully while others sat down with fear as their friends dragged them across the bridge. Screams of fear &excitement filled the air as the visitors cautiously tip toed across the Glass bridge. People were seen laughing at others crossing the bridge but were shitting their pants when it was their turn to walk across. The brave gulped down their fear and crossed the bridge in huge strides avoiding the terror struck visitors who were frozen in place on the bridge.

The bridge has set ten world records for its design and construction even before it has been opened to the public and is said to also have a bungee jumping facility in the middle of the bridge.

Reservations to visit the Bridge must be made a day prior with a maximum of 8,000 visitors that are allowed to cross the bridge every day.v
