Come Navratri, a huge population of meat eating Indians, go vegetarian to celebrate the 9 day festival. People abstain from meat & fish for the entire period and begin eating once the festival ends. Now we hardcore Non-vegetarians love pizzas 365 days a year (I said love them 365 days, not eat them) and even a chunk of us eat meats during festivals without blinking an eye. However, a Very popular Pizza chain will turn Pure Vegetarian this Navratri and serve only Vegetarian Pizzas during these nine days.
500 of the Popular Pizza Delivery Chain, Dominos will turn Pure Vegetarians for these Nine Navratri days. Domino’s Pizza will turn 500 of its outlets all-vegetarian during the auspicious nine-day Navratri festive period starting October 1st, 2016 in an unprecedented move to draw more customers as the US pizza giant in India seeks to recover from its slowest growth in almost two years.
The Pizza chain has often served vegetarian food during such festivals in the past, as well but, was restricted to a few selected outlets for dine-in customers only. This time, the popular pizza chain will completely change their menu at half of its restaurants in the country for all nine days of the festival.
Talking to our GuysWorld News Correspondent, Domino’s Pizza India president Dev Amritesh said “Consumption of non-vegetarian food reduces significantly during this time. This move is an acknowledgement that though we are a global brand, we are conscious about consumer needs. It’s about making a statement to consumers,”
So if you want a Non-Veg Pizza during Navratri, just buy a Veg Pizza and add some sausages, salami or leftover meat from dinner last night. Hey Man, the only way to survive this Navratri.
